We keep Members informed of events and changes in the commercial property market including new rules and regulations which may impact their commercial occupancy. Members can update and personalise their communication preferences in their Member dashboard, so they receive information that is relevant to them.

Blogs & Market Reports

We provide in-depth analysis and commentary of developments in the commercial property market and how these impact commercial tenants and their occupancy. We also provide market and tenant sentiment reports as well as updates on the CTA’s activities in the industry.

Member Discounts & Deals

We partner with a number of industry professionals that provide their services at discounted rates for our Members. CTA Members benefit from our collective bargaining power and enjoy special discounts and deals from our pool of Accredited Service Providers.

Trusted Supplier Directory Access

The Directory is a platform of 'tried and tested' suppliers to the commercial property sector who have been reviewed and rated by our Members. It is exclusive to CTA Members and suppliers are unable to appear on the directory without a Member recommendation.

Members feel more confident in using the services of a peer-recommended supplier than sourcing from the open market.

Discounted Trusted Supplier Directory Listing

Members are also able to become suppliers on the Directory, provided they are recommended by another Member. As an existing CTA Member, suppliers are able to register on the Directory at a discounted rate.

Additional Account Logins

Dependent upon which membership tier Members sign up to, there are additional account logins included to enable multi-user access to our platform and services.

Dedicated Account Manager*

Partner and Patron Members, have a dedicated single point of contact who help guide and advise when assistance is required. Our Account Managers get to know our Partners and understand their business to help build a long-term relationship of support and collaboration.

Advice & Support

Initial Phone Consultation

Included with each membership option, we offer a 30-minute phone consultation with one of our experts who provides preliminary advice and support on any specific tenancy matter. The number of these consultations available across the membership year is dependent on the membership tier signed up to.

Discounted Advisory Services

In order to ensure our Members’ interests are best represented we have a pool of Accredited Service Providers (ASPs) and expert consultants who have each passed a strict and detailed due diligence process undertaken by the CTA. These professional services are provided at a discounted rate to our Members.

Complaints Support

Affiliate Members are able to submit a complaint about their experiences in the market to add to our log and database. If a Member has a particular problem regarding their tenancy, they are able to submit a complaint directly from the Contact Us page or use the Helpline.

Chat Support

CTA Members benefit from support from our account management teams.

Useful Information

Our website hosts a wide range of guidance and information related to commercial tenancy negotiations, compliance and occupation. All of the information can be found in the Advice section of our platform under Negotiate, Comply and Occupy.

Industry Guides

The CTA produces comprehensive guides to help tenants navigate the ins and outs of the commercial property sector. These documents are available for download by all Members via the website.

Advice

CTA Members have direct access to our in-house team of independent property professionals. Following an initial consultation, we undertake an assessment of your needs for support and provide advice and a strategy to solve particular issues or problems. Should the issue be more complex the CTA will manage the process and represent you as part of our paid advisory service. This may entail bringing in the support of one of our Accredited Service Providers or expert consultants.

Proactive / Diarised Lease Events & Advice

Members are able to provide us with their key lease dates and events via their Member Dashboard. We proactively monitor the diary, send reminders and recommend specific actions in order to ensure the best negotiating position and minimised expenditure related to these lease events.

Participate & Learn

Members' Forum Access

This feature is only accessible to Members. As an exclusively tenant-oriented community platform, it allows Members to share experiences and help those looking for information or support. (Coming Q2 2022 to Q3 2022).

Member Only Networking Events

Whether online or in person, human interaction is one of the core needs of our society. Being able to further expand your network and speak to like-minded business people and tenants is a must. The CTA hosts networking events on various themes to help build our community.

Members are able to sponsor networking events on the CTA platform.

Events & Webinars

Members are able to keep up to date on new trends and developments by attending any of our scheduled events and webinars. These activities are either hosted by the CTA or by Partners / Patrons.

The CTA is committed to providing a rich array of topical, educational and practical content within our programme of events and webinars. Our view is that sharing knowledge, experience and information is key to professional growth and personal development.

Events and Webinars can be sponsored by Members, Suppliers and other 3rd parties in order to showcase expertise and services provided that the content is deemed to offer tangible value and benefit to the membership.

Members can suggest commercial tenancy topics they would like more information on.

Discounted E-Learning

The CTA partners with organisations and businesses in order to provide Members with cost effective access to relevant commercial property courses.

Discounted Compliance / H&S - Responsibility Courses

We help improve and ease our Members' experience with compliance and H&S responsibility by providing specialised courses at discounted prices.

Lead the Change

The primary mission of the CTA is to create a fair and equitable marketplace and to attain more rights and protection for commercial tenants across the UK.

Lobbying & Campaigning

In order for the CTA to drive change in the market we lobby and campaign to attain amendments to relevant laws as well as to alter the conduct and behaviours of the various counter parties involved in commercial property. The market has operated predominantly against the rights of tenants and our directive is to address this imbalance.

Task Forces

These groups concentrate the specific interests of our Members, (e.g. office, retail, industrial) or by discipline (e.g. sustainability, compliance etc.) as well as by sector (e.g. hospitality & leisure, logistics, financial etc). They aim to gather, share information and formulate proposals for change or improvement that can influence the CTA’s lobbying activity. Partner and Patrons can apply to join Task Forces.

Members' Council

The Members Council represents the interests of the Members and promotes the issues that they would like the CTA to address. CTA Partners and Patrons are eligible to stand for election to the Council.

Access to CTA Executive

Collaboration is the foundation of change and evolution and the CTA fosters an open and inclusive environment for all. For those Members that wish to have a greater influence within the CTA, the Partner & Patron membership tier allows direct access to our Executive team in order to share their views.

Consultative Services

What else can the CTA help with?

Representation

The CTA can be appointed to represent Members in lease negotiations or dispute matters. Once appointed for representational services, the CTA will provide the Member with a detailed strategy and fee schedule.

Project Management

The CTA can be appointed to project manage any process related to negotiation or occupation on behalf of a Member. Businesses, particularly SMEs, often do not have the time, resources or knowledge to manage these events and processes. By taking ownership we ensure that all parties involved are delivering in the time frames required in order to save our Clients / Members undue expense or difficulty.

Fees

Fees for CTA representation or project management are reduced for Members by 25%.
