David Abramson, founder of the Cedar Dean Group, has been an established figure in London’s commercial property network for a number of years and will bring a wealth of experience to his new roles on the CTA’s advisory board and as chair of its policy committee.
Chief executive, Peter Bell, highlighted the alignment of Abramson’s values with those of the CTA, stating that “David has been a close supporter of our association from its infancy; we are thrilled that he agreed to take on this role.
“His passion and commitment to championing the rights of commercial tenants is relentless and I have no doubt his knowledge and expertise will help support our ambitious growth.”
The position will see Abramson working closely with the CTA’s various task forces to help drive global policy and individual sector policy in the areas of retail, hospitality and leisure.
Abramson said: “With the CTA’s credentials and rapidly growing presence and influence, we have the unique opportunity to transform the long-imbalanced relationship between landlord and tenant.
“I intend to bring together leading voices across the industry to finally achieve a new system for commercial leasing based on affordability.”
